I love it. I have simple video dvd needs and this program fits the bill perfectly. Simple process. Pick the video file and burn it. If I ever need more, I'd go pro with Sothink!

I was looking for a DVD writer program to include subtitles, I don't recall if yours did but I eventualy settled on ConvertXtoDVD 4

do not know how to convert avi files from vuze which is in documents, to a dvd disc. does this do this ?

The DVD that resulted from using 'Sothink Movie DVD Maker 1.0 Build 70424' did not work correctly; it started by playing the introduction chapters atleast two times each and did not develop any further chapters.

From my experience the only product of this type that works every time is 'DVDFAB 8', unforunately it is fairly expensive compared to similar products.

Just installed and created a menu for 3 avi files.
Works fine but the full screen message that it was created using Sothink is disturbing. Instead you can put a message at the corner of the menu screen.

I was looking for a program that would convert an avi or mpg4 video to the DVD format and then save it to my hard drive for later burning [my burner quit working and I am in the process of replacing it]. According to the information about this program, it was supposed to be able to do this. In reality, the only choice it gave me was to convert and burn it. I do not appreciate being lied to and the program has now been uninstalled and sent to the trash heap.

I upgrade the software with the latest version and burn a movie on DVD. I noticed with the new version that the sound is not in sync with the movie, especially when someone speaks. The interface is nice and the quality is good except the sync.

I haven't created any DVD'S yet but have tested the software and so far it seems fairly straightforward and easy to use. Will update you when i convert and burn something to DVD.

Tried two very small test files, total length less than 2 minutes (H264 codec)and output them to DVD..... the result was very poor (unwatchable.)
I how now uninstalled it.
I have been Video Editing and creating DVDs for 10 years.

An amazing piece of intricate software!! It makes the complex into simplicity and allows even a hack like me to make a professional looking Disc. Wouldn't be without it.

It's impossible to find out how to put subtitles in.
So unworkable for me.
I even searched in google, bud nowhere i could find the answer, so i removed it again from my computer.

Hi I tried the product yesterday but the DVD would not work in the players I had. It played on my computer very well but no where else and it was disappointing as that was my original hope when using the software

This is the best dvd creator software i ever had!!before this i was using nero to burn dvd ,but it took me more then 5 hours to burn one single disc,but now i can burn 1 dvd video disc in just 10 mins!!!! amazing software, go for it!!!!!

seemed ok - uninstalled it promplty though as it installed several other applications at the same time without my knowledge. maybe if it told me what it was doing - and perhaps put it all in the one folder during installation?

I'm using the freebie version and it's producing DVDs that are unplayable on regular DVD players, and only work on my computer's DVD drives. I think the problem might be that there's no VIDEO_TS VOB file supporting the VIDEO_TS BUP and IFO files. Perhaps an updated 1.1 version is needed?

this program is great, no problems. simple to use, love that it burns to dvd after converting the files. I have no complaints, it works pretty fast,and the movies play with no problem after converting.

i enjoy the simplicity of this product! so far so good, my only issue is that with regards to subtitles there is no way to adjust and sync the timing of the titles with the actual film. some subs are not timed fantasticaly and it would be great to be able to delay or increase the start

overall it's good but i wish it has the option to add the subtitle. even though it's good, it's not better than windows DVD maker. i wish it has the subtitle option that windows DVD maker is missing :D

Great product; easy download and installation, intuitive GUI.
Works great for AVI to DVD !!!
Only minor glitch:
converting an AVI to DVD it estimated 4831 MB, requiring a DVD9; after conversion, the files were only 3720 MB which fitted on a DVD5.

ok just not reliable

DVDs only play on 1 out of our four dvd players. Only burns about 12 minutes of certain movies to the dvd. Works great when it works right.

Review of sothink program.

Could be more user frendly - other programs available are easier to use. Suggest the program looks as what is imput then copies or offers an option for direct copy as most applications are just that.
